HEALTHY DIETARY REGIME DURING PREGNANCY – III TRIMESTER

Third Trimester Of Pregnancy How the baby develops: The kicking natural phenomenon is now consuming the majority of the calcium from you in order to develop a solid bones system. The skin is getting non-transparent and the hairs over its body start to fall down. The digestive system is proudly producing its meconium. The five senses of the little one are completely developed so be careful what you talk about – your belly has ears now…ears that hear pretty well, indeed. The brain is developing billions of neurons – dreams, blinking and self-regulation of the body temperature are evident. So cool, right?! This wonder is about to face the world.…

HEALTHY DIETARY REGIME DURING PREGNANCY – II TRIMESTER

Second Trimester Of Pregnancy How the baby develops: The tickling feeling in the now roundish belly already has hairs over the body, lashes and eyebrows. The digestive system is now 100% completed and the little one can suck and swallow. Surprisingly, the taste receptors are already active so treat yourself and your baby with various food. All senses are in a process of being developed, and the heart is beating rhythmically – delight for your ears during the next prenatal check-up. The brain is now controlling this heartbeat and the first blinks with the eyes. My dietary regime: 09:00 am – Smoothie from greenery – lightly boiled kale (carries vitamins,…

    BETTER HEALTH IN 60 DAYS

Choosing and following a healthy lifestyle is a matter of awareness and as every other process takes time. This, however, is the most valuable gift we can give ourselves. Every little change we bring into our lives becomes a habit that has the potential to improve our quality of life and our health. The following 5 steps will unlock the doors of the changes we need to make to be healthy, happy and aware.     1. Eat the rainbow everyday – the daily consumption of differently colored fruits and vegetables is especially important. The chemical substances (phytonutrients), which occur naturally in vegetables and fruits, are the reason for their…

AUTUMN RAW DESSERT FOR HAPPY SOULS

While children were playing in the park, Bella and I were happily sipping our hot lattes and were enjoying the greenery around. The grass was soon mowed and the air was saturated with that fresh scent of green that thrilled all senses. As my gaze wandered through the crowns of trees, my gaze fell upon the first orange-reddish leaves. The skin of my face bristled from the cold breath of the wind that swept past me leaving the feeling and taste of autumn. We went home hungry for few spoonfuls of sweetness. With a dose of summer nostalgia and filled with excitement about the beauty of one of the most…

    AT SUNSET

251 meters height, 174 meters prominence. These are the dimensions of my pride. The day began with the usual sneaking into my bed, cuddling giggles foreshadowing our Netflix break for Peppa Pig and some hot chocolate under the duvet. This idyll ended up with a breathless flinging of limbs in a desperate attempt to find two identical socks followed by a dramatic peeling and cutting of one apple and few fingers for the aftrenoon snack. The last day of Fringe’s performances required our full concentration to get dressed and get out on time. Alas, this has not been an easy task lately. A quick shower, doing the laundry, ritually arranging…

    CHOCOLATE FLAVORED AUTUMN

When you live up north sooner or later you get used to welcoming the autumn earlier than usual. And although I’m a worshipper of the summer in all of its glamor and fun, I find something very tempting and lovable in this season. I love the colorful autumn attire of nature, the smell of wood in the fireplace, the noise of leaves under my feet, the early nights that call for wine and love from early and for long … The autumn brings me the feeling of home-like coziness when you huddle in the kitchen with a glass of wine and bring to life in flavor and aroma your favorite…

    RUN AS HELL

I was in S1 when I started training athletics. Outdoor exercisings at the stadium were a magical combination of high intensity exercises, new friendships, iron discipline, plenty of motivation and a lot of fun. After the exhausting training, I enjoyed running under the cold droplets of water (from the stadium’s irrigation system) that fell like dew on the grass. With my last resource of power I used to bounce blissfully on the high jump landing mats collecting the sun’s rays over my tired body. These were the summers when mom used to tell me that I look alike a gypsy kissed by the sun – I was so tanned. Training…

MY TOP 5 ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION IDEAS

If you have been with your partner long enough you have certainly given almost everything you can think of as a gift. This makes the situation especially difficult if you have an occasion for which you want to make a surprise. Even more so if you have been together for 17 years, as is my case. The past few years have been a complete apocalypse with regards to employing my creative muse not because of lack of love, attention or commitment rather because there is nothing I had not done, bought or made with my own hands for the past 17 years. From watches with personal engraving to surprising trips,…

CHOCOLATE CHIA PUDDING FOR SUPER MOMS

Fringe Festival is the quintessential magic that sweats Edinburgh as a typhoon of color, experiences, fun, great mood and pollens it with the most amazing and varied cultural events. I will pay special attention to it because it is really worth enjoying it – if not live at least through pictures and stories. Just because of the festival and all the great emotions it fills me with, my day begins and ends with it. The hot cup of latte in the morning is ritually followed by a quick overview of the events of the day and the elaboration of a plan for me and a few other moms with…
