A healthy outside starts from the inside. Especially during the winter season when the vurises are stalking us. Coming up with a well balanced and nutrituous breakfast for our kids and beloved ones sometimes seems to be uneasy and/or time consuming. My mornings are quite busy, hence call for easy and healthy solutions.
My daughter is in the “honey” period now. Meaning she eats everything with honey. Including cheese. That is why I decided that I am gonna take over this opportunity and offer her something delicious, healthy and home-made that can boost her immune system. GRANOLA! Sometimes I serve it with fruits, sometimes with fruits and skyr but it always has plenty of honey and it always provides a great start of her mornings.
The recipe I follow is quite easy but so darn delicious! Here we go!
INGREDIENTS
- 300g oats
- 2tbs coconut pasta
- 2tbs homemade honey
- 1tbs pollen
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1tbs raw cocoa nibs
- 1tbs liquid vanilla
- 150g mixed nuts ( I usually go for cashew, almonds and walnuts)
PREPARATION
Mix all the ingredients in a bow. Spread the mixture in a tray over baking paper and bake in a preheated to 170C oven for 15 mins or until becoming golden. Do not forget to stir occasionally.
I love to serve it with fresh fruits for breakfast or snacks. Sometimes I add skyr to make it velvetly delicious.
Bon Appétit 😉
