HOW TO BUILD & KEEP A MORNING ROUTINE IN 4 STEPS

𝘌𝘢𝘤𝘩 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘣𝘰𝘳𝘯 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯. 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘦 𝘥𝘰 𝘵𝘰𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘵. Seeing my baby girl grow, I literally understood the expression “time flies” and the need to have an effective morning routine. Building and keeping one might not be the easiest thing but it surely adds up to my wellbeing.

 

6 REASONS IT IS GOOD TO HAVE A MORNING ROUTINE

 

#1 HELPS ME USE MY TIME MORE EFFECTIVELY

Having a morning routine is the thing that starts off my day immediately as productive. I find this especially handy now that we are in lockdown and productivity is kind of an issue with a kid arround all the time. I have chosen a very simple morning routine that allows me to move from one task to another without having to think about “what’s next.” 

#2 MY CURRENT MORNING ROUTINE

  1. Wake up at 6am 
  2. Get a hot shower 
  3. Do my beauty routine
  4. Make a cup of coffee (or two more often)
  5. Eat a bowl of fresh fruits (strawberries, papaya, mango and avocado) or homemade granola with yogurt
  6. Check out my mail & social media accounts
  7. Plan the day. This is an amazing daily planner that you can use to get ready for the tasks and responsibilities hurricane that awaits you.
  8. Prep the breakfast for the family and start the day happy and relaxed

Once I start my day with high productivity levels I tend to  carry on this way throughout the day. I have got my mindset in the right place and I have already experienced the positive rush of feeling accomplished.

 

#3 REDUCES MY STRESS-LEVELS

My morning routine is filled with both self-care and mindset work. Very simple things such as taking a long hot morning shower, extensive beauty routine, hot cup of coffee (or two) help me settle down and start the day powered with energy and calmness and helps in setting my thought process up for positivity throughout the day.

 

#4 SUSTAINS MY SELF-DISCIPLINE

Creating a morning routine is not an overnight process. It takes time, patience, willpower and some trial and error. BUT, it is all worth it. Building morning routine habits, actually flexes my SELF-DICIPLINE muscle.

 

#5 FILLS UP MY CUP

It just makes me feel GOOD about myself! It helps me set my intentions for the day and decide what my day will look like. This fills me with high levels of positivity and determination! And most of all makes me feel relaxed, rather than stressed about the endless list of to-do-tasks that awaits me. What a great way to start the daym right?!

 

#6 SETS THE TONE FOR THE REST OF MY DAY

My morning routine takes about 60 minutes but is so powerful to me that it completely steers the course of what my day is going to look like.

I find myself being more purposeful, active and centered, choosing healthier options, steering away from situations and conversations that could otherwise bring me down, feeling inspired and determined t follow my plan.

Write down on a piece of paper your am routine and stick it to the fridge.

Stick to your new habits by actually tracking them.

Share your routine with your best friend and/or family members to keep yourself accountable.
